About the author
My name is Chris Kortge.
I’ve studied a mix of cognitive psychology, computer science, and philosophy at Oakland University, U.C. San Diego, and Stanford. After six years at Stanford (but before a PhD), I co-founded a software company called Lexicus, to do handwriting recognition. Lexicus was later bought by Motorola, and a few years after that I went off on my own.
Today I’m an independent researcher, working mostly on artificial intelligence. My hobbies include writing, investing, and physics.
About the blog
I plan to focus on topics where science meets philosophy, with articles on the mind, the universe, the logic of religion, and the spirit of science.
